The Age-friendly Business Capacity Building Programme
The Age-friendly Business Capacity Building Programme aims to enhance companies’ understanding and capacity to implement age-friendly business practices. It is targeted at sectors including catering, shopping malls, retail, and others. The free-of-charge training lasts three to four hours, and can be delivered either face-to-face or online. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.
Focusing on four themes of age-friendly business (i.e., Physical Environment, Staff and Personnel, Marketing and Information, and Products and Services), the training, designed for employees at different levels, involves different training methods, including:
- Lectures
Introducing the themes of age-friendly business through lectures - Experiential Learning
Understanding the needs and pain points of older adults through interactive activities (e.g., case studies, role play, and site visits) - Co-creation Workshops
Inviting different stakeholders (e.g., older adults, carers, and employees) to co-create age-friendly business practices based on the needs and pain points of older adults
